[origin: WO2006136156A1] The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for expelling liquid from liquid- containing materials, e.g. dewatering of sludge, by using a piston filter. The filter gaps on the pressure surface of the piston, are arranged to be self -cleaning, by the movement of the gap filter relatively to several fastened pins that clean the gaps . The apparatus may be mounted on a gully-emptier.
