Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1908517A1] The invention relates to catalysts for the conversion of carbon monoxide, using the water gas shift reaction, comprising a substrate, a promoter and an active phase. According to the invention, the substrate comprises at least one oxide having high surface mobility, the promoter comprises at least one rare earth oxide selected from the lanthanide group and the active phase comprises at least one oxide of a group VIII transition metal. The invention also relates to a method of producing hydrogen from a current containing carbon monoxide and water and to the use thereof in the removal of carbon monoxide from a current originating from a reforming process. The invention further relates to the use of said catalysts in a fuel processor in order to obtain hydrogen to supply a high-, medium- or low-temperature fuel cell.
