[origin: EP1908892A2] The roof light (1) has a casement frame (2) movable against a frame surround (4) and held open by a catch (6) and opening arm (8) which slides along in a slide box (16). A brake element (18) mounted on an outside wall (20) of the slide box is in active connection with same and is connected to the slide shoe of the moving arm (8) by a connector (22). A linear spring element can be in active connection with the slide shoe to assist the sliding movement of same in the slide box.
