Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1909051A1] The drum (5) or drum segment has fixtures arranged in an inner side of the drum, which is rotatable around a middle axis. The fixtures mix and convey fluid materials when a temperature-controlled gaseous transfer fluid is conducted from a drum inlet to a drum outlet. Statically load-bearing support rings (7) elastically compensate tensile and compressive stresses and are positively and/or non-positively connected to the fixtures and/or a mounting frame (14), where the rings are arranged between the fixtures and the drum. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a drum or a drum segment for a drying system.
