[origin: EP1741655A1] A textile yarn-spool winder has a winding spool (3) supported by a roller (15), and a lever-arm (6, 7) pivoting (10) externally close to the outer margin. The lever-arm (6, 7) rises and falls controlled by an act uator (12). The actuator is powered by an electric motor (20) with a non-sensor controller. The motor controller follows a sequence applying a predetermined torque profile to the lever-arm.
