[origin: EP1911371A1] The item e.g. office chair (20), has a seat support (1) and a backrest support (3), where a seat (21) is fastened on the seat support. A backrest (22) is fastened to the backrest support, where the back rest support is articulately arranged on a base support (4). The backrest support and the seat support are articulately connected with each other via two levers (7), where one of the levers is positively guided directly on the base support. Articulation points (9) of the levers on the backrest support and on the seat support are arranged independently of a swivel position of the levers.
