Abstract (en)
The connector insert (1) has a U-shaped cross-section with a centre web (4) and holding faces (6) on each side of same on which butyl (B) is applied. Two flaps (2) mounted on the centre web cover the butyl so that when the connector is inserted into the hollow profiled strips they cover the gap between the profiled strips so that butyl passes out through the gaps at the edges of the flaps, enters into the chambers (5) at the side of the connector and seals the join between the profiled strips. The amount of butyl added is measured so that the space between the flaps and holding faces is filled and enough butyl passes out to fill up the chambers between the strips.

Die Erfindung beschreibt einen Einsteckverbinder aus Kunststoff zur Verbindung von zwei Abstandshalte-Hohlprofilleisten (AH) für Glasscheiben, der einen U-förmigen Querschnitt aufweist, wobei der Einsteckverbinder (1) beidseitig eines Mittelstegs (4) jeweils eine Halteflächen (6) aufweist, auf die Butyl (B) aufgebracht wird, und an diesem Mittelsteg (4) zwei Klappen (2) angeordnet sind, die das Butyl (B) abdecken und beim Einschieben des Einsteckverbinders (1) in die Hohlprofilleisten (AH) den Spalt zwischen den Hohlprofilleisten abdecken, so dass Butyl (B) durch die Spalten an den Rändern der Klappen (2) austritt, in Kammern (5) an der Seite des Verbinders eintritt und damit den Stoß zwischen den Profilleisten (AH) abdichtet.
