[origin: WO2007017105A1] The aim of said invention is to reduce a setting force required for setting rivets. For this purpose, a clamping force produced by a holding down clamp is substituted by the force produced by rivet (3) on a punch (1). The clamping force varies within a known magnitude, whereas the setting force is reduced by 20 %.
