[origin: WO2007014596A1] The invention relates to a method for monitoring tire pressure of vehicles with a control unit, an electronic memory and with a tire module mounted in a vehicle tire. In order to provide a method with which the warning strategy for warning a driver is easily improved and the number of erroneous warnings is reduced, the following method provides that: a first pressure value in the vehicle tire is determined; an actual temperature value in the vehicle tire is determined; a temperature-compensated second pressure value is calculated during which the actual temperature value is taken into consideration in a pressure determination equation; the second pressure value is compared to a first critical pressure threshold value; a warning is initiated in so as far as the second pressure value falls below the first critical pressure threshold value or the first pressure value falls below a second critical pressure threshold value.
