Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2007017748A2] The invention relates to a method for use of alternative fuels in clinker and cement production with application of the alternative fuels in reactors (4) for the pre-heating and/or pre-calcination of raw meal in a burner device (17), separate from the burners (12) of the relevant reactor (4), which are at least partly burnt, whereupon an optional complete combustion occurs within the reactors (4) with the combustion oxygen provided to the burner (12) of the reactor (4) in stoichiometric excess amounts. The device for use of alternative fuels in clinker and cement production comprises a clinker furnace (1) and a reactor (4) with burners (12) for pre-heating and calcination of the raw meal and at least one feed line (18) for combustion air or oxygen, characterised in that a separate burner device (17) with a forced supply of alternative fuels, such as for example a pusher or supply screw (16), is provided and opens out inside the relevant reactor (4).
