Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2007014887A1] A fuel injection valve (1) according to the invention comprises a magnet coil (2) which interacts with an armature (7) which is acted on by a return spring (14) and, together with a valve needle (8), forms an axially moveable valve part. A valve closing body (10) is provided on the valve needle (8), which valve closing body (10) forms a sealing seat together with a valve seat body (11). In addition, reliable sealing of a thin-walled valve sleeve (5) or of the magnet coil (2) is provided, said sealing action being provided by a sealing body (25) attached below the magnet coil (2). The sealing body (25) is quadrangular in cross section, in particular trapezoidal, and is inserted between the magnet coil (2) and a valve housing (4). When installed, the sealing body (25) is in a clamped and compressed state. Here, the sealing body (25) assumes an ellipsoidal or egg-shaped cross section in the compressed state.
