The bed has a back rest (18) and a seat cushion (6) mounted on a carriage (2) that can be pulled out of the chassis (1) and connected to the pivotable back rest by a fitting so the back rest is pivoted into the reclining position by pulling out the seat cushion. The fitting has at least one angled arm (20) with one end attached to the back rest and the other joined to the seat cushion or carriage. At least one guide arm (21) is arranged on the chassis at one end and on the back rest at the other. An independent claim is also included for a fitting for a seat in accordance with the invention.

Ein in ein Bett umwandelbares Sitzmöbel besitzt eine Rückenlehne (18) und einen Sitzpolster (6), wobei der Sitzpolster (6) auf einem aus dem Möbelgestell (1) ausziehbaren Wagen (2) gelagert und mit der schwenkbar gelagerten Rückenlehne (18) über einen Beschlag verbunden ist, so dass die Rückenlehne (18) beim Ausziehen des das Sitzpolster (6) tragenden Wagens (2) in die Liegestellung verschwenkt wird. Der Beschlag weist wenigstens einen winkelig ausgebildeten Arm (20) auf, dessen eines Ende an der Rückenlehne (18) befestigt und dessen anderes Ende am Sitzpolster (6) bzw. Wagen (2) angelenkt ist. Ferner ist wenigstens ein einerseits am Möbelgestell (1), andererseits an der Rückenlehne (18) angeordneter Führungsarm (21) angeordnet. Dadurch kann eine Beschädigung des Möbelstoffes vermieden werden.
