[origin: WO2007019974A1] The invention relates to a connecting element (1) comprising a housing. Securing means for securing the housing to a support rail (4) are arranged on the lower side of the housing. At least one connection for a telecommunications and/or data cable is provided in the housing. The housing is at least two-part and comprises an upper part (2) and a lower part (3) that are connected to each other in a snap-fit manner. The securing means for the support rail (4) are arranged on the lower part (3). The upper part (2) comprises at least one seat (23) for the connection (34). The lower part (3) is configured with at least one bearing and the upper part (2) is configured with a corresponding bearing seat via which the upper part (2) is hinged to the lower part (3).
