Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2007023149A1] The invention relates to a combination of a rigid foam support element (2) and a plate element 3) that is disposed thereabove and is preferably connected in a fixed manner to the rigid foam element (2), especially as part of a shower space system, which is to be integrated into a floor structure. The plate element (3) is embodied as a sanitary plate such as a plate made of natural stone, plastic, or mineral material. A sealing strip (10) that is to be sealingly joined to the surrounding floor structure in the mounted state is arranged circumferentially in parallel to the plate element (3). In order to create an advantageous arrangement and integration of the sealing strip in the combination, the sealing strip (10), which is covered on top by a fixed part located underneath the plate element (3), protrudes from the circumferential face (11) of the rigid foam element (2).
