[origin: WO2007019884A1] The present invention relates to novel 4-amino-thieno[3,2-c]pyridine-7-carboxylic acid amides of formula (I), and their pharmaceutically acceptable salts and esters which compounds of formula (I) are selective inhibitors of KDR and/or FGFR kinases. These compounds and their pharmaceutically acceptable salts are anti-proliferative agents useful in the treatment or control of solid tumors, in particular solid tumors of the breast, colon, lung and prostate. Also disclosed are pharmaceutical compositions or medicaments containing these compounds, processes for making them and methods of treating cancer using these compounds.
