[origin: WO2008012083A1] Disclosed is a composite frame (110) that is to be inserted into an opening of a building and comprises a window/door frame (112) and a sash (114) that is hinged to the window/door frame (112). The sash (114) is fitted with an inner profiled sash element (116), on an external face of which a profiled adapter element (118) is provided for fixedly inserting a pane (120) supplied for said purpose, said profiled adapter element (118) being fixedly connected to the inner profiled sash element (116). The window/door frame (112) encompasses an inner profiled window/door frame element (122) which essentially surrounds the inner profiled sash element (116). Furthermore, an outer visible part (124) that is fixedly connected to the inner profiled window/door frame element (122) is provided on a side of the inner profiled window/door frame element (122) facing the exterior of the building.
