[origin: EP1918080A1] The board has layers joined to one another by gluing, where the layers include a middle layer (1) formed from bamboo and cover layers (3) that are connected with the middle layer. The cover layers are made of wood fiber. The bamboo layer is composed of whole bamboo canes (2), longitudinally split cane segments or short sections in an oriented strand board. The layers are connected with each other by a fiber-glue-mixture.
