[origin: EP1918106A2] The method involves providing a printing machine to a given machine number of revolutions and/or machine speed for removing a non-printed area from a printing plate. The printing plate is automatically moisturized for a given number of machine revolutions and/or for a given time period. The non-printed area is removed from the printing plate after moistening the printing plate automatically during another number of machine revolutions and/or during another time period.
