[origin: WO2007003182A1] A box-shaped package assembly (1) having a longitudinal direction (L) and comprising: an inner package (4) in which a product is hermetically vacuum-packed to form a hard, box-shaped inner package unit (2), said inner package unit (2) having a top (6), a bottom (9), and a circumferential lateral wall (17), and an outer package (3) made from a flexible packaging material, in particular a paper material, and being arranged enclosingly adjacent the inner package unit (2), said second packaging material being wrapped around the inner package to form an overlap area (13) extending in the longitudinal direction and which opposed side edges of the packaging material are interconnected. The circumferential wall (16) of the outer package (3) is provided with at least one circumferential weakening line (25, 26).
