[origin: WO2007006324A1] A conveyor (11) is indicated, with a circulating conveyor belt which is designed as a chain belt with a plurality of links interconnected in an articulated manner and is deflected about a first deflecting arrangement (12) at one end of a conveying section and about a second deflecting arrangement (14) at the other end of the conveying section, the conveyor belt (1) having an upper strand (16) and a lower strand (17) between the two deflecting arrangements (12, 14). It is desirable to extend conveying possibilities. For this purpose, a drive (18) acts on the lower strand (17) with in each case a predetermined distance (19, 20) to the two deflecting arrangements (12, 14).
