[origin: WO2007020155A1] Disclosed is a method for operating a navigation system, in which positional data is determined, a route to a destination is calculated based on the positional data and map data, and destination guiding information corresponding to the route is generated and output. According to the invention, a deviation factor is determined for the positional data, and the destination guiding information is generated in accordance with the deviation factor. Also disclosed is a navigation system (1) for carrying out the inventive method.
