Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2007025395A1] The inventive method for monitoring the operating state of rotating rollers in an industrial installation, which contains one or more rotating rollers, comprises the following steps: a) recording, in the form of a time-variable electrical signal, the vibrations, which are generated by the roller when in operation, during a predetermined time interval during operation; b) determining the instantaneous frequency spectrum of the time-variable electrical signal for the predetermined time interval; c) comparing the determined frequency spectrum with a reference frequency spectrum provided beforehand, which corresponds to a defined operating state of the rotating roller, and determining an instantaneous difference between the instantaneous frequency spectrum and the reference instantaneous frequency spectrum, and; d) initiating a measure if the difference between the spectra, which is determined in step c), is greater than a permitted limit difference between the spectra.
