Abstract (en)

[origin: DE102005041075A1] The method involves switching-off high pressure discharge lamp during switching-off of a light and/or a light pair. Another discharge lamp is shifted into a stand-by-condition for a time period to recover the former lamp, so that the latter lamp takes an operating condition with maximum light output during resetting of the light in the period and is switched off during non-resetting of the light after expiration of the period. An independent claim is also included for a light or light pair comprising a high pressure discharge lamp.
