[origin: EP1921303A2] A fuel pump and filter assembly (12) includes a housing (14) supporting a filter (16) in a filter chamber (42), which is at least partially defined by first (44) and second (46) end walls, an outer wall (48) extending therebetween, and an inner side wall (28) disposed radially inwardly of the outer side wall (48). A fuel pump assembly (12) is carried by the housing (14) radially inwardly of the inner side wall (28) and includes a sleeve (28) that extends from the first end wall (44) of the housing to the second end wall (46) of the housing.
