The system (50) has a video sensor for sensing vehicle surroundings e.g. driving lane, and sensing an object found on and/or beside the lane. A locomotive set has a hauling vehicle (3) and a trailer (3.1) for transmitting an operating parameter of the trailer to the system. A line (61) or a wireless connection (62) transmits data between the hauling vehicle and the trailer. An input device inputs the operating parameter of the trailer and the hauling vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a driver assistance system.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Fahrerassistenzsystem (50) mit mindestens einem Videosensor für die Erfassung des Fahrzeugumfelds, insbesondere für die Erfassung der Fahrspur und von auf und neben der Fahrspur befindlichen Objekten. Das Fahrerassistenzsystem (50) umfasst Mittel, die bei Gespannfahrt eines aus Zugfahrzeug (3) und mindestens einem Anhänger (3.1) bestehenden Gespanns (3,3.1) Betriebsparameter des Anhängers (3.1) an das Fahrerassistenzsystem (50) übertragen.
