Abstract (en)

An audible closing feature for threaded containers (14) with a threaded lid (12), the container and lid including a lug (22) and notch (20) arrangement that provides an audible indication that the lid (12) is sufficiently closing the container (14) as well as providing for minimal resistance when removing the lid (12) from the container (14). The audible closing feature further reduces or eliminates backoff between the lid (12) and container (14) during transport and/or storage. The lid (12) and container (14) contain at least one of either the lugs (22) and notches (20), such that a lug (22) is received by a notch (20) to provide the audible indication that the lid (12) is sufficiently closing the container (14).
