Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1923340A1] The device has a receiving tray (14) provided with transport rollers (22) for receiving mail articles i.e. envelope. A joggling unit (18) maintains the mail articles against a referencing wall (16), and a driving motor drives the transport rollers in rotation. A processing module activates the driving motor, and causes ejection of a part of mail articles relative to a post presence sensor (30) e.g. magnetic detector, mounted at the level of the receiving tray. The sensor has a state depending on presence or absence of the mail articles in a mail article feeder (10). An independent claim is also included for a method for loading envelopes.
