[origin: EP1923506A1] The present invention relates to a substructure for an artificial lawn (21), comprising an underlayer (8) and a top layer (3) of artificial grass fibres (2), wherein an intermediate layer (7) is disposed between said underlayer and said top layer, which intermediate layer comprises a matrix of plastic foil with separate chambers (10) present therein, in which chambers a medium is present. Accordingly, it is an aspect of the present invention to provide a substructure for an artificial lawn, which substructure exhibits a natural resilience in comparison with a usual lawn of natural grass fibres.
