The invention also relates to a door stay comprising a stay bar (26) with a first side (34), a first active component (35), which co-operates with the first side (34) of the stay bar (26), and a support housing (27) with a first housing part (27a), the first end (24) of which is open, and with an opening (48) for the first active component (35), the first housing part (27a) comprising a cut-off extruded profile (1).
