[origin: EP1925371A2] A rotating mallet unit (30) strikes off impurities and/or deposits on strips to be cleaned. A rotating brush unit (40) cleans the strips some more after the rotating mallet unit has knocked impurities/deposits off the strips. Driven by a chain (21), a first rotating feeder unit (50,60,90) feeds strips through a device for cleaning the strips.
