A method for dividing up large square or rectangular wood-board involves a portal machine with a portal extending in the direction of its X-axis. The feed- device receiving the untreated board is aligned with a transfer device and both are placed in a direction transverse to the portal in the direction of the Y-axis of the machine, and the untreated boards are received with their long edges, in the direction of the Y-axis, from the feed-device and are clamped at their transverse edges spaced from the portal, and the boards are divided into board-sections or 'cuts'. An independent claim is given for a machine for dividing up large-sized boards.

Zum Aufteilen einer großformatigen, quadratischen oder rechteckigen Rohplatte (1) kommt eine Maschine mit einem feststehenden Portal (7) zum Einsatz, welches an seiner Vorderseite (8) zumindest ein verfahrbares Trennaggregat (10) und an seiner Hinterseite (9) zwei oder mehrere positionierbare Trennaggregate (11) aufweist. Zu der Portalvorderseite (8) führt eine Vorschubvorrichtung (12) hin, auf der die Rohplatte (1) aufgenommen wird. Hierbei wird die Rohplatte (1) an ihrem vom Portal (7) wegliegenden Ende gespannt, und es werden mit dem Trennaggregat (10) an der Portalvorderseite (8) vom gegenüberliegenden Plattenende nach und nach Plattenabschnitte (2) abgetrennt. An der Portalhinterseite (9) befindet sich eine vom Portal (7) weg führende Übernahmevorrichtung (15), an welche die Plattenabschnitte (2) übergeben werden. Die auf der Übernahmevorrichtung (15) gespannten Plattenabschnitte (2) werden mittels der Trennaggregate (11) an der Portalhinterseite (9) in Einzelplatten (2.1 - 2.5) aufgeteilt.
