The unit i.e. crane controller (100), has hand-held transmitters (500, 600) with hardware components that are not adapted to a type or a design of a crane and identical for a set of cranes different in the type or the design. The transmitters are freely programmable for adaptation to the type or the design of the crane, whose functions are controlled by the transmitters, where the transmitters include functional keys with two actuating units. An off/on key and an analog key corresponding to actuating pressure are represented by the actuating units.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Funkfernsteuerung zur Steuerung einer oder mehrerer Funktionen eines Krans, vorzugsweise eines Mobilkrans, wobei die Funkfernsteuerung einen Handsender umfasst, dessen Hardwarekomponenten nicht an den Typ oder die Ausführung des Krans angepasst sind und somit für eine Mehrzahl von sich im Typ oder der Ausführung unterscheidender Krane identisch sind, und der zum Zwecke der Anpassung an den Typ oder die Ausführung des Krans, dessen Funktion oder Funktionen mittels des Handsenders gesteuert werden soll, programmierbar ist.
