[origin: EP1926178A1] The ferrule has upper wall sections (19.1, 19.2) and two side wall sections (17.1, 17.2) connecting the upper wall sections. The upper wall sections have a threaded hole (21) made by flow forming technique and including collar type lugs (23.1, 23.2). The upper wall-sections are arranged one upon the other and are bent at right angles with respect to the side wall sections. The threaded hole passes through the upper wall sections and mechanically connects the upper wall sections with one another. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a ferrule for an electrical conductor.
