[origin: WO2007031481A1] The invention relates to novel methods for producing coated, granulated animal food additives which contain enzymes, and to the coated granulates which contain enzymes and which are produced in said manner, in addition to animal food compositions which can be obtained using the coated granulates. Said method consists of the following steps : a) a dough containing said enzyme, which contains, in addition to water, i) 50 96.9 wt.-% of at least solid carrier material which is suitable for animal food, ii) 0.1 - 20 wt.-% of at least one polymer which is water-soluble, iii) 3 49.9 wt.% of at least one enzyme, is extruded, wherein the weight proportion of i), ii) and iii) are respectively relative to the non-aqueous components of the dough; b) the extruded product is prepared into a raw granulate having a water content of not more than 15 wt.%, and c) the raw granulate is coated with a hydrophobic material which is selected from at least 70 wt.%, in relation to the hydrophobic material, from saturated fatty acids, the esters of saturated acids, in particular mono-, di- and triglycerides of saturated fatty acids, and mixtures thereof.
