[origin: WO2007031307A1] The invention relates to an apparatus for holding at least one drinking straw for sucking up a drink from a drinks container, having a thermal storage means which can be attached to the drinking straw. The thermally active part (11) is in the form of a thermal energy storage means or a refrigeration accumulator and is formed with at least one substantially cylindrical hollow space (10) for accommodating a commercially available straw or drinking straw. Provision is made of at least one further cylindrical, concentrically arranged hollow space (11), one of which serves to accommodate the thermally active material and the other of which serves to accommodate a sheet of paper, which is provided with information, or a plastic film, and that a thermal insulation layer (13) is formed on the outside.
