Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2007020296A1] The invention relates to a hydrodynamic cavitation degasifier (1), particularly a deaerator, which creates a degasifier as well as a degasifying method using the components known from cavitation mixers. The inventive degasifier is used for carrying out a method for degasifying a flowing liquid gas solution, in which the gas solution successively flows through constrictions that are embodied as flow gaps (6), the areas of said constrictions, which are measured perpendicular to the main direction of flow, increasing in the main direction of flow. The at least partly separated gas solution flows from the bottom to the top into a settling chamber (30) downstream from the last flow gap, and fractions having different weights, especially the two gaseous components (21) and the liquid component (22), respectively accumulate in the bottom and top region of the settling chamber (30) under the effect of gravitation and are discharged there via separate outlets (4a, 4b). The gas solution is provided with a flow rate which is so great at the first flow gap (6), particularly at each flow gap, that the static pressure in the gas solution drops below the vapor pressure of the gas solution.
