Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2007033637A1] The present invention relates to a device and a method for checking the loading on a wheel set shaft. The device comprises a holding device (3) for the wheel set shaft (1), a drive device (4, 5) for a rotational drive of the wheel set shaft (1) in the holding device (3) and a loading device (2, 6, 7) for the wheel set shaft (1). The loading device comprises a force transmitting element (2) which surrounds, at one location, a wheel set shaft (1) mounted in the holding device (3), and permits the wheel set shaft (1) to rotate in the holding device (3), and said loading device comprises two force application units (6) which are connected to the force transmitting element (2), the first of which can exert on the wheel set shaft (1) a force which acts vertically with respect to the wheel set shaft, and the second of which can exert on the force transmitting element (2) a force which acts parallel to the wheel set shaft at a distance from the wheel set shaft (1). The present device has a simple design and permits a wheel set shaft to be loaded in a simulation close to real conditions.
