[origin: EP1927713A2] A safety device (1') has a pivoted lever (7) to be attached in a lower vertical grooved space on a door leaf with its top end so as to swivel (8). The pivoted lever has a guiding slot with a side recess (10) running in a longitudinal direction. A movable pin or bolt (12) locks into the guiding slot. The pivoted lever is impinged by a spring in the direction in which its bottom end (7b) swings out. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a tilt-and-push door leaf for parallel positioning.
