[origin: EP1927723A1] The stage has a stator vane (1) provided with a suction side (1a) and a pressure side. Transverse segments (3, 3') extend from a wall, at which the stator vane abuts, at a distance to the suction side into a flow volume. A transverse segments-chord length (3g) of the segments reduces with distance from the suction side. The segments have sides whose surface normal form an angle of 90 degrees with a surface normal of the wall. The segments are spaced at a distance to each other. The transverse segments affect a secondary flow from the pressure side to the suction side.
