Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2007036239A1] The invention relates to a vehicle restraining system (10) for limiting roadways comprising a base beam (14) extending along the longitudinal axis (A), which overlies a U-shaped bottom (U) and, in the plane view of an orthogonal cross-section along the longitudinal axis (A), reduces from the U-shaped bottom (U) upwardly and a leading profile (24), which extends along the longitudinal axis (A), is placed above the base beam (14) and is fixed thereto. According to said invention said base beam (14) and the guiding profile (24) are connected to each other by means of an intermediate connecting area (22), which is closed at least on one side and extends, in a substantially vertical direction, from the top end of the base beam (14) upwardly towards the guiding profile (24), wherein the base beam (14), the connecting area (22) and the guiding profile (24) form a wall element (12) and, in the plane view of an orthogonal cross-section along the longitudinal axis (A), said guiding profile (24) extends with respect to the connecting area (22) towards the road way, at least locally.
