[origin: WO2007031503A1] Disclosed is a lighting device for ovens, comprising at least one light source (25) and at least one partition (22) for separating the light source (25) from a muffle (1) chamber (2) of the oven. Said lighting device is characterized in that an insulating material (26) is introduced between the partition (22) and the at least one light source (25). The insulating material (26) preferably represents a silica aerogel while an LED is preferably used as a light source (25). Also disclosed is an oven encompassing such a lighting device (19). The invention makes it possible to ensure sufficient mean luminous intensity, an acceptable lighting atmosphere, good color rendering, low-energy operation of the lighting system, and also low-energy operation of the oven because of the good heat insulation.
