[origin: WO2008037269A1] The invention explains a method having the following steps: - setting up a first telephone connection (TV1) from a first terminal (16) to a second terminal (18) via a circuit-switched telephone network (12), sending signalling from the second terminal (18) to the first terminal (16) via the first telephone connection (TV), - where the signalling signals the capability of the first terminal (16) or of the second terminal (18) also to handle telephone data which are received via a data packet transmission network (14), or where the signalling (53 to 56, 73 to 76) contains connection data which relate to the availability of the signalling terminal (16, 18) in the data packet transmission network (14).
