[origin: EP1930462A1] The use of a steel alloy for production of fittings such as screw-or-push-fit fittings, valves, and compression joints, for fluid and drinking water ducting systems. The steel alloy contains (in weight%) carbon (0.05 or less), chromium (11-25), nickel (1-3), molybdenum (1-2.5), manganese (2 or less), nitrogen (0.25 or less), and remaining of iron. The use of a steel alloy for production of fittings such as screw-or-push-fit fittings, valves, and compression joints, for fluid and drinking water ducting systems. The steel alloy contains (in weight%) carbon (0.05 or less), chromium (11-25), nickel (1-3), molybdenum (1-2.5), manganese (2 or less), and nitrogen (0.25 or less), and remaining of iron. The steel alloy further contains titanium.
