[origin: EP1930524A2] The element (100) has an upper side (110) with a surface and a lower side (120) with a supporting structure, where the element is formed as a quadratic base plate with a material such as wood and/or plastic-containing composite material. Two fastening elements (140) that are spaced apart from each other are provided at edges (130). The fastening elements have projecting detents, which engage in counter-detent positions during combination of the element with further base elements, where the detents are invisible in a joined condition.
