[origin: WO2007033926A1] The invention relates to a cooking appliance which is mounted in an elevated manner, which comprises a muffle which defines a cooking chamber and which comprises a muffle opening on the base side thereof, a displaceable door which is used to close the muffle opening, and a disk (34) which is arranged in the front wall (5a) of the muffle. Said disk (34) is pressed against a front-sided wall section (5b) of the muffle (5) and/or against a wall section of the housing of the muffle by a maintaining device for the fixing thereof, and can expand, in the fixed state, in at least two directions which are essentially orthogonal in relation to each other and laterally in a free chamber thereof.
