Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2007012802A1] This invention relates to a multifunctional, self-propelling, electronic scanning device of any size that can have printing, cutting, painting, machining and many other capabilities that may be very different from each other, made possible by its ability to hold and control optional removable or built-in attachments. Motorized means of self-propulsion allow it to propel itself along the surface of a document and automatically target very precisely the placement of print or other operations; so that it can edit the most intricate drawings or otherwise alter the same document that it has scanned without any need for it to be manually handled. It can propel itself horizontally, vertically and upside-down. The documents or other surfaces can be of unlimited size and made of any material. It is also useful for input, analysis and printing back of data onto the same document or making fresh documents or new pieces of work.
