Abstract (en)

[origin: DE102005046482A1] The method involves programming settings of an operating parameter of an electrical lamp of a lamp type in an electronic ballast. The lamp is adjusted and operated with the programmed settings when a normal operation of the ballast is adjusted. The settings are changed during an auxiliary operation of the ballast, such that the auxiliary operation of the ballast is adjusted when the ballast recognizes a value of the resistance of a lamp coil and/or a value of a dummy load of the lamp.
