The device (10) has a processing container, which has an inlet (11) for supply of the bulk material and an outlet arranged below for discharging the bulk material. The process container has a processing space arranged below the inlet with a heat transferring element. A lower limit (50) of the processing space has openings. The lower limit has a lower plane and an upper plane, which are moving partially relative to each other and form free cross section surfaces of changing sizes. An independent claim is also included for a method for conditioning free flowing bulk materials.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung und ein Verfahren zum Konditionieren rieselfähiger, fluidisierbarer Schüttgüter mit einem Prozessbehälter, der einen Einlass (11) zum Zuführen des Schüttgutes und einen unterhalb des Einlasses (11) angeordneten Auslass (13) zum Austrag des Schüttgutes aufweist. Der Prozessbehälter weist mehrere übereinander angeordnete Pakete (15, 16, 17) von Wärmeübertragerelementen (171) auf, die von einem Wärmeträgermedium durchströmbar sind. Unterhalb der Pakete (15, 16, 17) von Wärmeübertragerelementen (171) ist eine untere Begrenzung (50) des Prozessraumes (12) angeordnet, durch die Prozessgas im Gegenstrom in dem Prozessraum (12) eingeleitet wird. Innerhalb der unteren Begrenzung (50) sind freie Querschnittsflächen (55) vorgesehen, die in Abhängigkeit von einem gemessenen Prozessparameter innerhalb des Prozessraumes (12) vergrößert oder verkleinert werden können.
