The inventive ball mill, in particular, planetary or centrifugal force ball mill, having a size which is adapted to the laboratory, comprises a housing (8), a support device (1) which is rotationally mounted about the central axis (15) on the housing (8), at least one receiving device (2) for at least one milling vessel (5) which is rotationally mounted about a receiving axis (25) on the support device (1) and is guided therefrom about the central axis (15), a drive (17) for the support device (1), a drive (27) for the receiving device (2), at least one milling vessel (5) which can be filled with milling balls and which comprises a milling cup (51) and a cover (2) for closing the milling cup in a detachable manner.
