[origin: DE102005046504A1] Device for determining the air mass (LM) flowing in the cylinder combustion chamber of an engine cylinder of a vehicle comprises a sensor arrangement (S S D) for directly measuring the suction tube pressure (P S D) and having a measuring region so that the suction tube pressure can be measured using the sensor arrangement in a lower suction tube pressure partial region and a calculating module (M S D)for indirectly measuring the suction tube pressure. The device is structured so that the incoming air mass is determined within the lower suction tube pressure partial region depending on the suction tube pressure measured using the sensor arrangement. Preferred Features: The suction tube pressure over the whole suction tube pressure region is determined via the calculating module.
